The witching season is just around the corner.

Ghosts, ghouls, vampires, werewolves, mummies, lions, tigers and bears (oh my!) will be going door to door asking the simple question: trick or treat?
Yes, Halloween is fast approaching. So, in that spirit (see what I did there), here are the 5 scariest food challenges you can attempt from around the world…if you’re brave enough!

Inferno Soup Challenge

Let’s kick things off with one that will be top of Satan’s shopping list come October 31st, the Inferno Soup Challenge at Nitally’s in St. Petersburg, Florida. A 48oz bowl of heat and pain that contains the Bhut Jolokia, also known as the dreaded Ghost Chilli, and served with Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Peppers is what awaits you.
Competitors have only 30 minutes to finish the entire bowl. Also, you have to adhere to the rules, especially no.4, which states you must be sober.

Check out the video below, if you dare….

Mount Olympus Burger Challenge

This is one you will need help with, a team of four to be precise. Clinton Station Diner in Clinton, New Jersey serves up the Mount Olympus Burger Challenge, and it weighs in at an astonishing 50 pounds.
I’ll let that sink in…50 pounds! That’s about the average weight of a seven year old, although, only about half is the actual patty.

Your team of misfits, your avengers, your suicide squad, will have three hours to complete this terrifying peak. As did the people in the video below:

The Widowmaker

Everyone likes a hot dog right? How much do you like hot dogs? Enough to finish off a “giant 2ft hotdog stuffed with pulled pork, beef brisket, fries, chipotle, barbecue sauce and mustard weighing a gut busting 6lb within 45 minutes”? Silver-lining: if you do you get it for free.
The Ox and Bone in Huddersfield, UK dish up this horror, the Widowmaker. Only two people have defeated this, one of these being friend of Foodchallenges.com, Mr BeardMeatsFood, Adam Moran.
Watch his record breaking attempt below:

Kidz Breakfast Challenge

We’ll stay in the UK, and head 200 miles to the south-east where we will end up in the sunny coastal town of Great Yarmouth, and more specifically Jester’s Diner, where you will sit down and be served up the Kidz Breakfast Challenge. A 6000 calorie fried breakfast weighing in at 9 pounds, the same as a baby (which is where the name comes from). This colossus contains: An 8 egg, cheese and potato omelette, 12 rashers of bacon, 12 sausages, 6 fried eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, 4 hash browns, 4 black puddings, sauteed potatoes, 4 slices of toast, 4 slices of bread & butter and 4 slices of fried bread.
I know right…that’s a lot of food! But at least they have given you an hour to finish it!

As we’re in the UK, we will stick with the UK’s number one ranked competitive eater. The bearded wonder himself, Adam Moran.

Fire In Your Hole Challenge

We finish with another dance with the devil, again in Florida (as if that state wasn’t hot enough!). It’s Sarasota this time, at Munchies 420 Cafe for the Fire In Your Hole Challenge. You have probably heard of this one as it was made famous by the TV show Man vs Food. They are arguably 10 of the hottest wings on the planet. Tossed in a sauce that is made from the hottest chilli peppers in the world, and for added pain, ghost chilli pepper extract, which is basically just pure heat!

If you aren’t put off by this, check out the video below:

Let us know if you have stared fear in the face and attempted any of these, and leave any we may have missed in the comments.
