Hot Dog Challenge Description and Prizes
– For the base “Kennel Club” Jumbo Hot Dog Challenge, challengers get 90 minutes to eat just 6 of their massive 100% beef hot dogs. The hot dogs themselves weigh 1/2 pound each (just the meat), and Italian bread baguettes are used as the hot dog buns. One baguette is split in half so two of the hot dogs can be assembled. There are no topping requirements. You can order the hot dogs plain or get as many toppings you want. There are many specialty hot dog options to choose from on the menu as well. This is a pay-to-play food challenge so you pay for the hot dogs ordered whether you win or lose, which cost around $5-$6 each, depending on the toppings ordered. Winners get a sweet T-shirt and their photo posted on Spike’s online Wall of Fame.
– There is a “Part B” for this challenge too, for those who feel like eating A LOT of hot dogs. If you can break the current record within the same 90 minute time limit, you win all your hot dogs free plus the sweet t-shirt and top spot on Spike’s Wall of Fame. As of 9/1/2025, the current record to beat is 21 hot dogs. That means you must eat 22 hot dogs to break the record and win the challenge. You cannot win by eating 1/2 of a hot dog more (21.5).
