Challenge Description and Prizes
– Bay Street Biergarten is located in historic downtown Charleston, SC off East Bay Street.
– In celebration of 2020 Oktoberfest, they started this 6lb Kamikaze Bratwurst Challenge.
– There is a 3.5lb (weight) 12″ long x 4″ diameter smoked sausage served on a pretzel bun.
– The 1.5lb Oktoberfest Bavarian pretzel bun can be served with beer cheese (it’s optional).
– The brat includes sauerkraut, a Brussel sprout coleslaw, and German macaroni & cheese.
– There is also horseradish, a spicy mustard, and the challenge includes 2 big pints of beer.
– The beers were “München on Hops” by Devils Backbone Brewing Company (Bavarian IPA).
– There is a 45 minute time limit to finish everything. Winners get the tasty $50 meal free!!
– Champions also earn a sweet t-shirt and a spot on Bay Street Biergarten’s Wall of Fame.
