Nachos Challenge Description and Prizes
– Having been in continuous operation since 1992, Front Street Brewery is the oldest brew pub and second oldest brewery, in the state of Iowa. It was the 300th craft brewery to be established in the United States. The brewery’s humble beginnings started with a 7-barrel brewhouse in the basement of the current Pub & Eatery location, located on River Drive in downtown Davenport. The 100+ year old building is nestled along the banks of the Mississippi River, in downtown Davenport, Iowa, in what was known from the late 1800’s into the early 1900’s as the “Bucktown” neighborhood.
– One of Front Street Pub & Eatery’s top selling items is their loaded pork nachos, so they decided to create a man vs food challenge and supersize it up to weighing over 5 lbs total.
– There is a 30 minute time limit to feast on an ~85oz tray of loaded pork nachos with 1lb of tortilla chips fried in house, all covered with 2lbs of juicy pulled pork and 1lb of nacho cheese sauce.
– All that gets topped with pico de gallo, a lime sour cream sauce, roasted corn, and jalapenos.
– You can order an optional beer with your challenge but there are no drinks or side items included.
– Winners earn their $35 pork nachos meal free plus a sweet t-shirt and spot on the Wall of Fame.
