“Old World Italy” Challenge Description and Prizes
– Maria’s Italian fare is prepared using high quality ingredients. They use real butter, heavy cream, fresh chicken, real veal, extra virgin olive oil, the fryers use Rice Bran oil, and the cheeses are Grande Mozzarella & Romano. All dishes are prepared to order, not pre-prepped or frozen in advance. Maria’s has been owned and operated in Cape Coral, Florida since 1991 by the Giordano family.
– This Old World Italian Food Challenge features appetizers, a few entrees, and desserts as well!!
– Appetizers – Bruschetta Rustica, Fried Calamari, and Garlic Bread w/ Cheese
– Entrees – Giovanni’s Veal Special, Chicken Parmigiana, Chicken Marsala, and Italian Beef Lasagna.
– Desserts – 3 cannoli w/ chocolate chips, a slice of homemade tiramisu, and Zeppolis (donuts).
– There is a 45 minute time limit to finish everything, including a cup of Italian soup w/ bread rolls.
– Winners receive the $100 meal free, a sweet t-shirt, and a coveted spot on Maria’s Wall of Fame.
